Creating a colourful city.
My Experience at the Surface Festival in Miami, Gold Coast, Australia.
I recently had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Surface Festival held in Miami, Gold Coast, Australia. This vibrant event celebrates art in all its forms and provides a platform for artists from around the world to showcase their talents. For this year’s festival, I submitted three artworks for the fence line exhibition, adding my unique touch to the eclectic mix of pieces displayed along the festival’s outdoor gallery.
The Surface Festival is renowned for transforming public spaces into dynamic canvases, and the fence line exhibition is one of its most anticipated features. My artworks, alongside those of other talented artists, turned an ordinary fence into a stunning visual journey, engaging festival-goers and art enthusiasts alike.
But my journey with Surface Festival doesn’t end here. I’m excited to announce that next year, I plan to take my participation to the next level by creating a mural. This opportunity to contribute a larger-than-life piece of art to the festival aligns perfectly with my passion for transforming spaces and connecting with the community through my work.
In addition to my exhibition pieces, I was thrilled to be selected out of hundreds of artists to design a gin label illustration for Miami Booze Traders and Miami Marketta. This project was a fantastic blend of creativity and branding, allowing me to craft a design that captures the essence of these beloved local establishments. It was an honor to see my artwork featured on their products, contributing to the vibrant culture of Miami, Gold Coast.
Participating in the Surface Festival has been an exhilarating experience, showcasing my versatility and connecting me with fellow artists and art lovers. I’m already looking forward to next year’s mural project and continuing to make my mark on this inspiring event. A big thanks to the Surface Festival for this incredible opportunity—I’ll be back next year!
